How does Alfred Lord Tennyson write about the Eagle in his poem?

The whole poem is a metaphor, to God. This poem may not have a religious aspect to it, but that is certainly the impression that I get when I read the poem. I think that each verse is written from the eagles point of view. There is a bit of personification in the poem, but its just trying to give the Eagle human qualities, He clasped the crag with crooked hands trying to give the Eagle human qualities. The word fragment means this verse is just a small piece of the poem. The rest of this poem has never actually been found. There are a few similes in this poem, not a lot though. I think the poem is written from perhaps a bird watchers point of view because the poem is definitely, from the Eagles point of view, because that would just not make sense, He clasped the crag with crooked hands, its just not written by the eagle himself! There is a hard c sound the whole way through the first line, he clasped the crag with crooked hands. This I think is a very good first line, because it gets the reader thinking, what is it, is it an eagle, is it a person? What could this be? It CAPTIVATES the reader, makes them want to carry on reading!
