Willie Abigail Giovanni Tyler Chayla DMetria Dayshun James Ambra Jamin Shemarshia JKwon Lesson 1: Post Assessment: The students will be assessed on if they can recall in their science journals how the sun produces heat and light. The students were assessed recalling the information that the sun produces heat and light for the earth. The assessment consisted of having the students write in their journal what two things the sun gave the earth and the answer was light and heat. The journals were reviewed by myself and recorded on a rubric if they were able to recall the information in their writings. Armando was ranked high because he was able to recall the information, tell why the earth needed light and heat, and also able to illustrate that the sun produces heat and light for the earth. DMetria was ranked middle of the class because she was able to recall the importance of the sun giving Earth light but not able to recall that the sun produced heat for the earth. JKwon was ranked low because he could not make the connection of the sun producing light and heat for the Earth to function. He also did not write any information down.

Lesson 2 Armando Chayla Tiyonia Abigail James Ambra LaDreavis Brayden Willie Giovanni Tyler DMetria Dayshun Kentravious Avin Daricus Jamin Shemarshia JKwon Lesson 2: Post Assessment: The students will be evaluated with a rubric (attached). The components on the rubric are how well they preformed with others, if they followed safety rules and if they completed the scientific process and recording of process in their own science journals. Myself reviewed the journals and I also kept up on a sticky note any misbehaviors. Armando was the high student for lesson two. He showed great work ethic with his classroom peers. He also followed all of the safety rules. I did not have to correct him or remind him of any rules while in the science lab. I also gathered the correct scientific process while reading his journal. DMetria was the middle student in lesson two. She performed well with her classmates and followed all of the safety rules. She did have problems with completely listing the scientific process we discussed and used during our science investigation. JKwon was the lowest in the class due to many reasons. He did work well with his classmate peers but he had difficulty following the safety rules in the science lab. He also was not able to recall the scientific process we discussed and used during out science investigation. Brown 5

The worksheet contained four questions that were to fill in the blank on which to, too or two to use to complete the sentence correctly. Armando was the high student and answered correctly three of the four Q & A. He showed he was somewhat knowledgeable with the homonyms. DMetria was in the low middle of the class with knowing only one of the four Q & A. She showed she didnt know the correct usage of the homonyms. JKwon was close to the end of the class with not answering any of the four Q & A. He showed he was not able to recognize the correct homonyms. Post assessment: The students will locate a sentence of one of the homonyms in their book and copy it onto a flap in their flipbook. Then they will give two more examples of sentences that contain the other two homonyms that they made up and used correctly. Armando was the highest because he was able to copy a sentence containing one of the homonyms and was very creative in producing two more sentences with the correct usage of the other two homonyms.

The students will be evaluated using a rubric that calculates the percent of correct answers out of 10 questions. Armando was ranked high in the class because he answered all ten questions correctly scoring a 100%. He was able to join the contractions easily without having to ask for assistance. JKwon ranked in the middle of the class because he answered all ten of the questions correctly scoring a 100%. He did have to ask for some assistance in pronouncing the words on the sheet. All of the words came off of the word wall and should have been in his knowledge already. DMetria was ranked lower in this activity because she only got 80% of the worksheet correct.
