Would is an auxiliary verb, a modal auxiliary verb. Use Would like to express want in a polite way. The form is the same for all persons. The usual response forms to an offer made with would you like: Would you like a cup of tea? Yes, please No, thanks
The main verb is always the bare infinitive (infinitive without "to").
