At its meeting held on March 27, 2013, the Toronto Police Services Board (the Board) approved that

as part of the 2014-2016 Business Planning consultation process, it would request comments from the public on whether there is a need for a Toronto Police Service priority related to integrity, ethics, professional standards for its members and enhanced customer service to the public. As a result, the Board has scheduled a special public meeting to receive comments from the public; details of the meeting are below. The Board will not receive or address any specific concerns about the conduct of individual police officers; there are provisions in the Police Services Act which set out the process for dealing with these matters. If you would like to deliver an oral deputation to the Board at its special meeting on April 29, 2013, please contact Karlene Bennett, Acting Board Administrator, at 416-808-7265 or karlene.bennett@tpsb.ca by 9:00 AM on April 29, 2013 to confirm your attendance. If you cannot attend but would like to provide a written submission, it should be sent to Ms. Bennett by email by 9:00 AM on April 29, 2013. Please note: oral deputations will be limited to five minutes; there is a limit of one deputation for a community group or organization, however, two or more representatives may share one five minute deputation; it is recommended that all deputants provide at least one written copy of the deputation at the time that the deputation is delivered to the Board or by email on the following business day; and digital or Powerpoint presentations will not be permitted.
