Application
LED Exit Sign models must be designed to meet code requirements of the the city of New York. Exits will be (single face) (double face) and provided with all necessary components for wall, ceiling or end mounting applications. Emergency exit models will be achieved through a factory installed fully automatic emergency operation module. All emergency module components will mount inside the exit housing and will include a constant voltage type battery charger; a maintenancefree, nickel-cadmium battery; an AC-On indicator light; and a test switch. Each unit accepts 120/277VAC input at 60 Hz.

NYX Series

Construction

The NYX Series housing unit is constructed of heavy duty 20 gauge metel in a white of black finish. Eight inch exit letter plaques are illumated by a strip of hgh lumen LEDs and the plaques are secured by channels in the exit housing. Knockouts provide for all right, left or dual directional chevron arrow requirements.

Installation

Mounting canopies will be provided with all models and will be identical constructionand color to match the exit frame. All models will be designed to mount to single gang, 31/2 octagon or 4 round electrical boxes or standard plaster rings outlet. The wiring for the AC connections is made inside housing.

During normal utility operation, the LEDs illuminate the sign and the units solid-state charger constantly maintains the battery at full capacity. Upon loss of normal power, the chargers transfer circuit automatically switches the unit to emergency operation. DC lamp emergency illumination is provided for 90 minutes.

Upon failure of normal utility power, the chargers transfer circuit automatically switches the unit to emergency operation, DC lamp emergency illumination is provided for 90 minutes. On restoration of normal power, the charger will begin a recycle charge. The battery will be brought to full capacity within acceptable UL time standards.
