Year 8 Skin Conditions Investigation

Task:
Design an informative brochure, flyer (on Pages), iMovie or Powerpoint presentation that investigates either: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Melanoma Eczema/Dermatitis Warts Tinea (athletes foot) Acne

Research the condition you select by using the internet or library resources. You must cover the following criteria:
1. What is it?

2. Facts about prevalence (how many people/how often people get the disease), and death rates (if applicable) from the disease. 3. How is it caused? (How do people contract the condition?) 4. How can it be prevented? (What can people do so they are less likely to contract the condition?) 5. Signs & symptoms of the condition (How can people recognise and identify that they have the condition?) 6. How is it treated? (What can people do to manage or remove the condition?) 7. Who does it affect? (What people are more likely to contract the condition eg: age group, gender etc?) 8. Graphics or pictures explaining and detailing the condition.
