The Relationship of Knowledgement with the Attitudes of Maternal About the HIV/AIDS at Working area Puskesmas Tanjungpinang in May

ABSTRACT
HIV/AIDS was the virus that make the body imune become bad. The infection of HIV from the mother to her child was the main caused HIV infection to the children under 15 years old. From the healt department in tanjungpinang city report that there were increasing cases amount of HIV/AIDS from 10 to be 12 cases the where central checking was in tanjungpinang healt centre. The study before to the 10 pregnants woman, 60% were didnt know about HIV/AIDS and also about how to refuse it self. The reseach purposed to know the relation between the knowledge to the pregants maternal attitude about HIV/AIDS in the work area tanjungpinang healt centre in may 2012. These reseach was analytic study with the crossectional with maternals knowledge as the indepedent variable and the maternal attitudes about HIV/AIDS as the dependent variable. The sample was taken accidentally. The population were 171 people, and the sample using were 43 people. These reseach was taken in may 2012. The intrumen in using were questioner and check-list with analyze data by univariat and bivariat. The reseach result stoned that from 27 respondent with good knowledge have supported attitudes were 48,1% and do not supported were 51,9%. And 16 respondents with a low knowledge have supported attitudes were 25% and do not supported were 75%. The chi-square test result by computerized showed that the p value was 0,239 >0,05 it means that H0 was refuse to fail. The conclusion there was no relation between the knowledge to the attitude of pregnant women about HIV/AIDS in the work area tanjngpinang health centre in may 2012. It was expected to the health worker to be more in the health promotion to the pregnant mother about HIV/AIDS. And to the health department to facilitate the health workers to increasing and doing the health promotion to the pregnant mother based on their needs and the maternal education.
