1.) Inquiry

(3-5+ sentences Stretch your thinking; Be specific; Draw connections from past history and current events)
During my research, I think I will find that Buddhism has spread all across the world. The reason it has probably spread so far is because of people traveling to India and then traveling back to distant countries. If people go to other countries they learn their ideas or their religions, and when they leave they bring the ideas with them and teach other people about what they believe in now. In conclusion I think I will find that Buddhism has spread extremely far because of people traveling from one place to the other and teaching people about what they have learned.

2.) Prediction What do you think you will find?

A. Video -- Ancient India The Impact of Buddhism as a World Religion I did this one for you. See below. B. 1.) In the video it says that in the eighteen hundreds Asian immigrants brought Buddhism to the united states. And this proves my point of people bringing the idea to distant countries. 2.) On the BBC cite it states In 1907 a number of people got together and formed The Buddhist Society of Great Britain and Ireland. And this proves my point by that people joined together to teach other people. 3.)In the video it says Buddhist missionaries taught the lessons of their faith to people in neighboring countries. This proves my point in saying people share their ideas with other countries. 4.) In the BBC cite is states According to the 2001 census there are 151,816 Buddhists in Britain. This proves my point by that Buddhism has spread to many different countries and also shows that, not do the ideas just come to the country, the religion spreads throughout the country and influences thousands of people into believing in it.

4.) Investigation (2+ pieces of evidence per Citation = 4+ Pieces of Evidence)

5.) Analysis (5-8 sentences Follow PEEER Overview model) Write a PEEER paragraph that answers the Inquiry Question For your Evidence statement use one of your Direct Quotes Color-code your paragraph -The reason why Buddhism has spread so far is because of people traveling to distant countries and sharing their ideas with other people. This shows that when people travel to countries they learn the religion or their idea, and when they travel back they share the religion with other people. For example, In the video it states that in the eighteen hundreds Asian immigrants brought Buddhism to the united states. Furthermore, Buddhism has spread throughout the world. I agree that there are other ways it has traveled, but the main way is through travelers and the sharing of ideas. Undoubtedly, Buddhism has spread through people traveling (from either a neighboring country or a distant country) and sharing the religions they have found. Explain the cultural diffusion of Buddhism from ancient India to around the world today.
