Thepurposeofthecourseistoteach8thgradestudentscriticallearningskills,asdefinedintheHershey MiddleSchoolhandbook,inorderforthemtobecomeindependentlearnersinhighschooland beyond.AneLearningdeliverystrategywillbeemployedtoallowforanindividualizedlearning experience.StudentswillusetimeinAdvisorytodeterminethescopeoftheirindividualeLearning experienceandtheAdvisoryteacherwillberesponsibleforoverseeingthecompletionofthecourse. Thelengthofthecourseisdependantontheindividualneedsofthestudent.
CourseObjectives
Thefollowingobjectivesaredependantonindividualstudentneeds.Notallobjectiveswillbe necessaryforeachstudent.Studentswillonlycompletethepartsofthecoursethataredeterminedto benecessaryforeachstudentaccordingtothereportingofthecriticallearningskillsonthereportcard.
