Greek Life
Fraternities and sororities offer you an opportunity to enhance university life in an unique environment. Membership promotes scholarships, develops leadership skills, builds lasting friendships and encourages community service. Commitment to personal and organizational excellence is the cornerstone of the fraternity/sorority experience.

Washburn Student Government Association


WSGA is the student governing body at Washburn. WSGA exists to improve the University for all students through various programs and services funded by student activity fees. What to know about WSGA:

What to know about Greek Life: Our Geek community has been an integral part of the Washburn tradition since 1909. Greek community members consistently perform above the average Washburn student GPA. More than 80 percent of our Greek community is ivolved in other student organization on campus. Our Greek community completes an average of 7,500 service hours per academic year. Stay on top of your class work and campus events with free student planners. Present your WU ID at participating businesses and save cash with the iSave program. Call (785) 267-3777 any time you need a ride home from your favorite Topeka-area bar with Safe Ride. Its free and confidential because college is more fun when youre alive. Some restrictions may apply. When WSGA brings a speaker to campus as part of their Lecture Series, you can bet that it will be great. You wont want to miss these! Do you want to get involved? Spring Elections fill officer and senator positions, while open senate seats are filled throughout the year.

CAB is the premiere event-planning organization of Washburn University. Throughout the school year, CAB provides a variety of events, from annual traditions, such as Casino Night and Tunes @ Noon, to speakers, music, movies, comedy shows and much more! Join CAB and meet new people, make life-long friends and gain valuable experience all in a professional, exciting and fun setting.
