I would provide the students with an introduction which would help them understand what we are focusing on for the lesson. I would provide better wrap up so that students understand the importance of the lesson. I would move more slowly through my prompts to help the students.

What would you change about this lesson and why would those changes improve it?

How did your organization and materials affect the success of the lesson?

I think that the materials for this lesson (the book, a dry erase board, and dry erase marker) worked fine this first time around, but perhaps I could find more engaging materials in the future.

What were some challenges with this lesson? What surprised you?

The children did not seem to have any idea what the story was about once it was finished. It took a lot of prompting to help them remember what happened. I also believed that the students had a better handle on setting, but it still seems to be a challenge.
