Hello! We would like to introduce ourselves as your childs student teachers from The College of New Jersey.

Our names are Michelle Delahanty and Kelly Hardman and we have been working with Mrs. Soles class for the past eight weeks! Beginning on April 15, 2013 we will be in the classroom every day for a two week period. We are very excited to become more involved in your childs education and hope to provide the students with useful information along with a fun learning environment. We will be conducting a science unit that will focus on dinosaurs and fossils and would love for you to become involved! To end our unit, we are asking each student to create and bring in a dinosaur diorama, a model representing a scene, to present to the class. Below is an example of one we have made. It is encouraged to work with your child to complete this! Also, ask them what they have been learning about dinosaurs and fossils! We do not expect you to spend a lot of money on this project. A shoe box would be sufficient for the outside, while paper cut outs of dinosaurs or figures found at the dollar store will work great! You can also include plants from outside or have your child draw plants for the habitat of a dinosaur. This project will be due on Monday, April 29. Thank you for your participation and we hope you enjoy creating this project with your child! Sincerely, Michelle Delahanty and Kelly Hardman
