Dalton Bagley Dr.

Angela Velez-Solic English 202: British Literature II 13 May 2013 Course Reflection Throughout the first eight weeks of the semester, I was completely dreading taking the B block of British Lit. I took British Lit I in the fall, and it was not fun. After reading the Canterbury Tales, I was pretty sure I never wanted to read British Literature ever again. After this class, I think I just have to read modern Brit Lit. The reading that I enjoyed the most from the course was the actual reading I did for Stevenson. I am an adventure-writing fan, and I really wouldnt mind doing some myself. RLS writes in so many genres and which such authority that I can easily say he was my favorite from the semester. The reading I enjoyed the least was Dickens. I think that it was both timing and content. I could not get into his trip to America, and it ju st didnt match up with my imagination. I was also just not in the mood for Dickens. I think I may give him another chance sometime, but it will be A Tale of Two Cities if I do. What I think the best thing about this class for me was the exposure to more and more variety of writing. No two authors this semester were a like, and I found that very informative. I believe that when I become a writer, it will be

attributed to what I have read before. I am seriously considering taking a stab at writing towards a young male audience because of this class.
