Course: Expressive with young children 2 (ECED3070) Assignment: observation of child I believe that assessment and evaluation is integral process in early childhood field . Teacher must understand importance of observation, documentation and assessment in children learning process . These tools help teacher to get a clear idea about childrens unique qualities and childs development and learning . Also, assessment help teacher to develop appropriate goals, a plan, implement, and evaluate effective curriculum . In addition, by this tools teacher can make a folder for each students information, so parents can see their childs development and learning. I have learned that teachers must understand different ways of assessment, because this is essential in order to understand child needs . This understanding helps teacher to develop appropriate learning plan , that what is mentioned in stander 3 . In my point of view, teacher should know how to use observation as a positive tool that supports childrens development and learning and improves outcomes for young children , as suggested in standard 3. Moreover, I have learned that lot of information about childs development in natural way . From the assignment, I have learned how to use effective assessment strategies to gather information about children and interpret that information to get positively influence in childrens development and learning.
