VERSATILE SPACE FOR VERSALIFT

The flexible nature of temporary buildings suits us very well as a company and Spaciotempo is always accommodating of our needs. Most importantly, they react very quickly once we have placed an order for a building. This saves us the time and expense of constructing a new building that may only be used partially during the year.

VERSALIFT is the world's largest manufacturer of van and truck mounted access platforms. The UK operation was established in 1994 to assemble platforms for the home market, but after 6 years of growth the company moved to larger premises in Northamptonshire to accommodate increasing production requirements.

Continued success has necessitated additional space at peak times and, to keep costs as low as possible, Versalift has used temporary buildings from Spaciotempo to provide a flexible and cost effective solution. During the latter half of 2008 the company required a short term building to increase the production facilities for assembling and mounting their famous access platforms on to various sizes of vans and trucks. Located adjacent to the main factory, the 10 x 25m building was fitted with a roller door at each end to create a drive through production line with vehicles arriving at one end leaving the other with a fully fitted platform. With separate doors provided for personnel ensuring that all health and

safety requirements were rigidly adhered to - the building was also installed with heating and lighting for a comfortable working environment. Erected and dismantled by the team at Spaciotempo to very short deadlines, Dave Ruffett Production Manager at Versalift, is always impressed by the service. The inherent strength of the buildings to BS standards - is gained from the aluminium box profile frame together with steel reinforced wall panels which provide snow and wind loadings that are equivalent to permanent structures. The roof, manufactured from the most durable PVC coated polyester, is flame retardant and allows an impressive eave height of 5m, allowing the full area to be used for shelving.
