telephonic discussion Few things I wish to mention are: I will not entertain any burn case and any cesarean section Although I have a vast experience of doing open surgical procedures my stress will be more on adult laparoscopic and pediatric surgeries and endoscopic procedure I will be freely available to perform surgical camps to promote the hospital and my speciality I am planning to establish a long-term relationship which obviously depends up-on bilateral understandings Accomodation near hospital must be arranged by the management The onus of promoting advanced laparoscopic procedures and pediatric surgery as well as upper gi endoscopic procedures is with the marketing cell I will prefer to take 1 day off in a week except attending the indoor patients or any real surgical emergency patients I need a rmo/ surgical registrar to attend emergency/ opd patient or indoor patients when I am in OT or busy some where else for eg. In market or at my daughters school I will not attend somebody elses patient on elective basis unless requested by the management to avoid misunderstanding between the collegues and must be paid for that If called for help by my collegues of any speciality during surgery on an emergency basis I will try to be available as soon as possible depending upon the circumstances, irrespective of monetary profit or loss as it is against my surgical ethics . Patients benefit is our own benefit Management should permit leave to attend conferrence once a year or short courses of 2-3 days atleast twice in a year. This will be beneficial to hospital in long-term as I will improve my knowledge and skills Instruments like harmonic scalpel, ligasure or valleylab, upper gi endoscope are highly desirable to perform advanced surgical procedures I am covered with proffesional indemnity insurance of 10 lacs for 5 years Other minor things we can discuss when we meet in person. Incase meeting is successful I will be able to join in january 2013
