How will you assess the students learning in your Success Clinic? Resources you may want to consider using in developing your assessment tool: (1), (2), (3), (4), and (5). Since this is a short success clinic keep your assessment method and/or tool focused specifically on the learning objective and the learning gains. If you opt to do a pre/posttest or end of session evaluation, make sure it is brief. Good practice for a 30 minute clinic is to limit it to 3 questions that push the student to demonstrate what theyve learned and identify what may still be confusing to them.

Questions or Tasks Assigned

EXAMPLE: Collect the minute papers. Identify responses that are unrelated to the objective of the success clinic and document verbatim set aside; this may be useful in determining the next Success Clinic. Those responses related to the success clinic should be reviewed and documented verbatim. Then analyze the raw data by placing them into related categorizes and use that data to make modifications to instructional strategies for future clinics. If no questions remain unanswered, document the number of students in relation to the whole.
