MATERIALS: Books energy 1, CDs, video, markers, board TOPIC: PRESENT CONTINUOUS SUBTOPICS: Money and music AIMS: By the end of the class the Ss will be able to communicate using the present simple tense and will be able to talk about music and the money vocabulary in order to acquire something in the target language.

ASSUMED PRIOR KNOWLEDGE/ RELEVANT RECENT WORK: In the first class we work on pages 74 and 75 using some real conversations where people where using the present continuous and so we discussed why to use the ingand studied the money vocabulary, making some class exercises. Personal objectives: To improve as teacher showing better examples and encouraging Ss to participate.

PROCEDURE The T breaks the ice with an activity called Chocolampo

About 10 minutes The teacher shows some expressions used in informal context for native speakers and encourages the SS to get the meaning without explain it.

The T starts making a short review of last class topics checks the attendance list and homework, then he starts class on page 76 asking the SS what are the rules to use present simple tense by showing them some examples of real situations, then he checks previous About 1 hour & 15min knowledge of some vocabulary and moves on to page 78 with a listening activity. The T makes an activity warm the SS up and make them ready for class. SS make the reading on page 81 and the teacher starts asking what kind of reading do SS think it is about, then he continues with the activities on page 80 By the end of the class the SS go to page 82 to make the energy check, the T help them to solve possible doubts Homework pgs. 74- 79 About 1 hour 30 min
