As an educational leader you have to be a situational leader.

This means that all stakeholders must be treated with integrity, fairness and in an ethical manner. Being accountable for your decision making process safeguards the values of your educational leadership. Practicing fairness, accountability, equality and being self-aware of your own actions is imperative. Being culturally sensitive to your stakeholders promotes trust in your educational institution. Standard five focuses on an educational leader that promotes integrity, fairness and treating your stakeholder in an ethical manner. My artifacts are evidence that cover the functions in this standard. The key functions are aligned with my artifacts that promotes the success of all stakeholders. The following artifacts are well aligned with the five major functions for standard five. Ethics Reflection Paper: The ethics reflection I focused for my five key considerations were meaningful to me. I chose justice, accountability, cultural awareness, caring, and values. These five ethical standards I have expressed in my artifact is simply how I see myself as a leader. The case studies from the reading of Ethical Leadership and Decision Making in Education by Shapiro and Stefkovich has helped me revise and make clear connections in my own personal belief system and improving my decision making skills as a leader. Functions: A. Ensure a system of accountability for the academic and social success of all students. B. Model principles of self-awareness, reflective practice, transparency, and ethical behavior. C. Safeguard the values of democracy, equity, and diversity. D. Consider and evaluate the potential moral and legal consequences of decision-making. E. Promote social justice and ensure that individual student needs inform all aspects of schooling Portfolio Products. Final Papers: These final papers are a reflection what I have learned throughout my Educational Leadership courses. Function: B. Final Papers Internships During my internship, these final papers act as a reflection and represent the knowledge I gained throughout the school year. Function: B. Legal Issue Presentation and Activity My legal Issue presentation and activity on Terms and Conditions of Employment was a joint effort with my partner and cohort member. We covered the legal rights and maintenance of a uniform system of public policies and functions of the judiciary power of the state. We identified state statutes and regulations regarding the rights of the individual school employees during our presentation. Functions: B.
