1- Psychometric Tests:
The second stage of our selection process is online numerical & verbal
reasoning psychometric testing. All our graduates are joining into technical
roles therefore they need to have a certain level of numerical ability. English is
also the first language used in our business and generally the business language
across the GCC, therefore our graduates need to be able to understand and
converse effectively in English - the tests can only be taken in English.
You will be given 7 days to complete the psychometric tests after which your
application will be withdrawn.
Time Commitment
It will take you circa 45 minutes to read the instructions, go through the
practice questions to get a feel for the tests, and finally complete the actual
tests.

2- Screening Interview
The third stage of the selection process is the telephone screening interview,
which is designed for two purposes. Firstly, to assess your motivations for
wanting to work for Atkins (and move to the Middle East for those not living
locally), discuss any questions raised from your application form, identify the
business areas & office locations you would like to be considered for, and to
assess some of the non technical skills we are looking for within our graduates.
Secondly, and just as important, to give you an opportunity to ask any
questions you may have about Atkins, the roles, living in the Middle East, or
the graduate development programme etc.
We will aim to get your interview booked in at the earliest opportunity but this
will also depend on your availability.
Time Commitment
The interview tends to last circa 25 minutes on average, however this will
depend on the quality of your answers and how concise your answers are.

Decisions
We aim to confirm the result of your interview within 5 working days. If you
pass this interview your details will then be sent to the relevant hiring
manager(s) for review for a potential final stage technical interview - it may
take several weeks to confirm this due to the pressures our senior managers are
under, but we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible. For those that do

not pass the telephone interview you will be informed within 5 working days
and provided with feedback if requested.
3- Technical interview
The final stage of our selection process is a technical interview with the hiring
manager for the role we are considering you for. This will be conducted faceto-face if you are in-country, otherwise via video conference, Skype or
telephone. The interview will centre on your motivations for wanting to work
for the particular business & location your are interviewing for, your education
& experience (if you have any), and the technical knowledge you have
developed at university that is transferable to the role you are interviewing for.
It will also of course be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have
about the roles, business areas, office, and relocating etc.
Time Commitment
The interview usually takes circa 40 minutes but this will vary depending on
the interviewer and your responses.
