NE Name
Type NE name here and use same format. Dont write link ID .Only mention station ID e.g: site_id-iPaso (200/400/1000)-1 (1 represent the sequence number of IDU on same station. If there are two IDU write 1 on upper IDU and write 2 on second IDU and so on.)

Click on desired link MODEM slot and set the power as per link budget..
Internal Only
Metering:
Click on Metering-> Current Metering Click on MODEM to check the RSL change during Alignment.
Internal Only
Comments:
After aforementioned steps we can start the alignment. Keep watching RSL at Metering and lock the antennas at more than 3db of required RSL given in link budget.

Click on Network Management Configuration and then click on General Setting. Click on setup to set the IP.
Internal Only
General Setting.
Set IP, Subnet Mask and GW as per given DCN plan and check connect NMS port to NMS to yes for root NE which is connected with NEC server through router.

NE Branch Setting
Set branch number to 2 branches Default Gateway is same as the GW given in General Setting. Therefore no need to change.
Internal Only
Click on 1 to set branch 1 IP. Branch 1 is NMS and the IP given in General Setting will appear automatically there so no need to change.
Internal Only
NE Branch Setting:
Click on 2 and set NE branch IP and subnet mask as per given DCN plan. Note: All MODEM with this IDU will automatically get Branch 2 IP.
Check yes for Connect to NMS port and check any for Protect LCT connection.
Internal Only
Routing Setting.
No need to change Routing Setting. Gateway will automatically appear here when General Setting is finished.

NE Branch Setting:
Set Branch number to 1 Default GW and branch 1 IPs will be same as in general Setting. No need to change here.

If there are two IDUs in station then for DCN we need to cascade setting for the two IDUs. Click on Equipment Cascade Setting and then click on Setup.
Internal Only
Select Number of NEs in station: 2 for two IDUs Own Cascade ID: 1 is for the same IDU connected with your laptop. 2 is for other IDU on the same station. Set the IP of other IDU and click OK.

Comments
Service Status setting in Normal NE is same as root NE. So do the same steps for normal NE. In a hub if there are two IDUs use LAN cable between NMS port to NMS port. If in any case NMS port is used we can configure first Eth Port as NE management.

After VLAN creation the VLAN IDs will appear against each port like here:
Internal Only
First of all VLAN id of Site MMN012 should be added in VLAN list of MMN008.:
Internal Only
Assign the VLAN of Site MMN012 to the link MMN012MMN008 Modem. Use the same procedure as described in previous slides:
Internal Only
As there are two IDU on MMN008 station and our example link is in second IDU but the link with BSC is in first IDU. Therefore we use Ethernet Ports and a physical LAN cable between two IDUs. So we assign VLAN to eth port02 which is connected with first IDU.
Internal Only
Assignment of VLAN of MMN012 coming from other IDU via eth port. Assignment of VLAN of MMN012 to the link facing BSC_MMN75 1.

Internal Only
At BSC site VLANs of all cluster Sites are assigned to two GbE Optical Ports. Normally 3rd &4th port is used in iPaso. We set LAG function over these ports. These ports are physically connected with PTN via fiber cables and then PTN is connected with BSC. So we assign VLAN of our example site MMN012.
Internal Only
VLAN is used for ZTE SDR in Telenor Vega Project. We assign VLAN to ZTE SDR and same VLAN is assigned to NEC iPasolinks ethernet and modem ports from terminal site to up till BSC site. In a hub site we simply assign the VLAN to MODEM facing terminal site and to MODEM facing BSC site. Same rule of thumb is used for all the hub in the path. If there are two IDUs in a hub we use physical LAN cable between two IDU and assign all the VLAN coming from sites to both end IDUs eth ports. VLAN mode is always trunk
Internal Only
Use this setting for Root NE. Root NE is always master and all other NEs are salve in iPaso Network.
Internal Only
For normal NE use this Clock Setting. Normal NE is always Slave. Note: In a hub if there are two IDUs then the first IDU will be slave and second IDU will be master. All other IDU connected with second IDU will be slave.
