Abstract
The demand of energy has been increased over the years as the sequence by increasing of the world population. Many developing countries have their own policy to find the alternative energy, and many researchers have attempted to find the suitable resources to produce an alternative energy such as biomass, solar energy, geothermal, hydro power, wind energy and ocean energy. Biomass energy has become one of the most promising energy source as the alternative of petroleum energy. However the raw material cost is one of the major limitation for bioenegy. Huge quantity of waste generated from different agro-based industries can be utilized as substrate for biogas production (Biomethanation). Bio-methanation is the process of conversion of organic matter in wastes to methane and manure by microbial action in the absence of air through a process called anaerobic digestion. Utilization of wastes for biomethanation provides inexpensive bioenergy generation with simultaneous waste treatment. This presentation is focusing on biogas generation (biomethanation) from waste produced by agro waste industries such as Food processing industries, Coffee processing industries etc.

Keywords: Waste, Agro-base industries, Bio-Methanation, Utilization.
