2007 Present New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Attica Correctional Facility - Social Studies Teacher
Instructed classrooms of adult male inmates whos purpose in school is to achieve their GED. Developed unit plans, assignments, and other educational tools that are specifically appropriate for a maximum security correctional facility. Worked cooperatively with other teachers in unit planning, curriculum building, and review course designing. Worked in several special housing units with significant experience with students with disabilities. Familiarity with TABE, OPT, GED, TASC, ASSET, TABE Espanol, SABE 6, and BEST Plus testing systems.
Instructed 9th grade Global Studies and 11th grade American History classrooms. Developed assignments and unit plans for students with guidance of supervising teachers. Worked closely with administration to learn the inner workings of public school system. Instructed AP U.S. History and a Civil War elective.

2007 Present Director of graduation ceremonies held at Orleans, Wyoming, and Attica Correctional Facilities. Responsibilities involved coordinating ceremony, securing guest speakers, organizing visitation for family members, etc. Region 1 Vice-President of CAYSA Corrections and Youth Services Association. Responsibilities include attending bi-monthly meetings in Albany, organizing training events for staff throughout the year, and planning an annual symposium. Member of Make a Difference Day, QWL, and Media Review Committees. Currently maintaining a 4.0 in masters program. Pending Treasurer for PEF union Local #431 2 Time Finalist in Funniest Person in Rochester Stand Up Comedy Competition Representative on Village of Attica, Stevens Memorial Librarys Executive Board Musician active in many local music projects. 2001 Recipient of Attica High Schools Future Educator Scholarship Recipient of Wyoming County Certificate of Community Contribution
