PERMANENT UTILITY SERVICES AS REQUIRED AND COORDINATE THEIR INSTALLATION
WITH CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS OF THIS PROJECT. PAY ALL FEES AND COSTS
CHARGED BY UTILITY COMPANIES FOR UTILITY SERVICES.
OBTAIN ALL TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT PERMITS AND LICENSES REQUIRED IN

BE BALANCED TO WITHIN +/- 10% OF DESIGN AS A GENERAL RULE. HOWEVER, IN
SOME CASES, THE AIR QUALITIES MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED DIFFERENTLY IN
ORDER TO ENSURE ACCEPTABLE COMFORT LEVELS, HOOD CAPTURE
PERFORMANCE, POSITIVE BUILDING PRESSURE, ETC.
MELINK SHALL NOTIFY THE SUPERINTENDENT OF ANY DEFICIENCIES NEEDING
IMMEDIATE ATTENTION, AND THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL HAVE THE
MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS AVAILABLE ON CALL TO PROMPTLY

MELINK NEEDS TO RESCHEDULE A FOLLOW UP VISIT TO TEST AND BALANCE ANY
EQUIPMENT NEED READY ON THE ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED T & B DATE, THE
GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL PAY FOR THE ADDITIONAL COST INVOLVED,
INCLUDING TRAVEL.
ALL DATA REQUIRED BY THESE SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE TYPED IN WHITE BIND
PAPER IN TRIPLICATE AND SUBMITTED TO THE OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE FOR
APPROVAL. COMPLETE APPROVAL WILL BE NECESSARY BEFORE FINAL PAYMENT

TILES IN PLACE-PRIOR TO THE TEST AND AIR BALANCE.
5. THE T & B COVERS ALL HEATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING, AND EXHAUST
VENTILATION SYSTEMS. A CERTIFIED REPORT SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO THE
GENERAL CONTRACTOR AND A COPY TO DARDEN WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF COMPLETION..
6. IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE THE HEALTH OF MECHANICAL INSPECTOR TEST THE
HOODS, THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY MELINK AND ATTEMPT TO
SCHEDULE THE T & B DATE CONCURRENTLY WITH THE INSPECTOR'S VISIT -TO
ENSURE THERE ARE NO QUESTIONS OR PROBLEMS. ALSO, IF THE CERTIFIED
REPORT IS NEEDED BY THE INSPECTOR SOONER THAN THE STANDARD 2-WEEK
TURNAROUND, THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY MELINK WHEN
CONFIRMING THE T & B DATE.
7. IF UPON ARRIVAL AT THE JOBSITE THE PROJECT IS NOT COMPLETE ENOUGH FOR
MELINK TO FULFILL THEIR OBLIGATIONS FOR THE COMPLETE TEST AND BALANCE.
MELINK WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO INFORM THE GC THAT HE WILL HAVE TO
RETURN. THIS RETURN VISIT WILL BE AT THE GC'S EXPENSE.
8. MELINK WILL PERFORM A FOLLOW UP A FOLLOW UP CHECK OF THE COMPLETE
SYSTEM WITHIN 30-60 DAYS AFTER ITS FIRST INSPECTION. IF MAJOR PUNCH LIST
ITEMS STILL HAVE NOT BEEN COMPLETED OF IF NEW MAJOR ITEMS ARE FOUND, A
MANDATORY REVISIT WILL BE REQUIRED BY MELINK. THIS NEXT VISIT WILL BE AT THE
