General impedance formulas

The complex radiation impedance of a dipole antenna is the sum of the real resistance Rdipole and the imaginary reactance Xdipole. For a dipole of length L and radius a operating at a frequency with wavenumber k in a medium with impedance Z, we have

where Ci and Si are the cosine and sine integral functions and is the Euler constant.[16]
