History poem Creative writing Basarabia, Soviet Union, 1946-1947

They took everything, everything, the Russian soldiers just rushed Into our houses and took everything They took all the food and goods, They even ruined our house in search for hidden nourishment, They didnt find anything though. But they took everything. They said its for the sake of the party. For the sake of the party? Who is the party? Apparently our family is not. They took my father. What can he do for the sake of the party? Mom says they took him to a better place. She tries to calm down in this way my 5 year old brother who was present at the whole scene. They didnt care about that. They didnt care that a five year old sees his father beaten up, mother crying and sister shouting Like crazy trying to push them away. While theyre taking the father to a better place. They pushed me back, and smiled with all their yellow disgusting teeth showing up. They dont care that they took everything; he took everything, the fearful Stalin. The monster for us. Party? Its good for the nation? Communism is the best? Hell no!!! Were starving.

I havent eaten in 3 days. My mother keeps making polenta out of grass and some grains that we found on the floor. But this just makes it worse as your stomach gets bigger and eventually it explodes from Starvation. We ate our dog. Do they care? There are rumors in the neighborhood that some men sacrifice themselves for their families And they get. Do they care? Do they care if an old man, a grandfather gets killed by his daughter who will after feed her kids With tears flowing down her cheeks? There is nothing left here. Its all death. Starvation is the zombie apocalypse. Everyone who is left is a living dead. Do they care? No, no they dont.
