In order to get your documents legalized, the name has to be same as it is on Soggiorno / Italian Passport. All of your documents must have foreign ministry attestation with 6 months validity. Your certificates have to be issued within 6 months. NO exception will be granted in this regard. Birth certificate has to be issued from your place of birth mentioned on the Soggiorno. Police clearance must be taken from your permanent address. For the purpose of legalization, clear photocopy of Passport and Soggiorno must be brought. Please note that NO document will be attested without these papers. * Marriage certificate: Nikahnama Bangla and English have to be submitted along with marriage certificate. In case of Hindu / Buddhist marriage, an Affidavit has to be submitted. Please check the format of the marriage certificate, Nikahnama & affidavit at VFS office before applying. ** Medical certificate / Doctors certificate: A clearance by an Embassy nominated doctor is required for medical certificate legalization. All documents must be attested by the ministry of Foreign affairs Please note that any document you want to legalize must not be issued before 6 months.
