#PhilipsHRTalks is a platform created by the Philips India, where business leaders are invited to speak and share their knowledge with a live audience - comprising of Philips employees and also open to other people who would be interested to attend. The talks are recorded on video with the objective to be publicly shared on a platform like YouTube for students and other corporate personnel to learn from. The first event in the series of the #PhilipsHRTalks was launched by Mr. Yashwant Mahadik (Head of Human Resources, Indian Sub-Continent & Global Chief Learning Officer, Philips, a.i.) on 22nd April 2013 in the Philips India Headquarters at Gurgaon. The invited guest speaker was Mr. Anand Pillai, Chief Learning Officer of Indias largest private conglomerate, Reliance Industries Ltd. Mr. Pillai kept the 140+ audience of Philips employees and external guests regaled for two hours, in his characteristic style as he stressed the need to build a Personal Brand by focusing on ones strengths (or YOUniqueness as he called it) as well constant reinvention. The event was live tweeted by 65 people a total of 314 times. It managed to reach 231,600 user accounts with a total of 935,000 impressions (Data from Tweetreach.com) The event received an overwhelmingly positive feedback and people thought it was a great talk. Many people who attended the talk from outside also appreciated the fact that Philips made the talk open and accessible to non-Philips employees. All the attendees shared that they are looking forward to the subsequent talks in the #PhilipsHRTalks series. The attendees were told to monitor the #PhilipsHRTalks hashtag on Twitter to stay updated on the upcoming talks in the next few months.
