Materials: Yarn: Worsted weight yarn, silver grey, and black. (I used Vannas, on the adult and large adult I needed 2
skeins of grey.)

Hook size(s): G hook (4.00mm), I (5.5 mm), stitch markers Buttons: 2, 1 buttons for sizes child, adult, and large adult Sizes: newborn to large adult Gauge: 14 stitches and 11 rows in hdc = 4 x 4 Abbreviations:

Round 6 thru 11 - hdc in each st around. (40 hdc) Round 12 - hdc in each st around, sc, sl st in next 2 sts. Round 13 thru 14 turn, ch 2, hdc in same sp as the ch2 and in next 25 sts. (26 hdc) Round 15 - turn, ch 2, hdc in same st as the ch2 and in next 25 sts, fasten off and weave in ends. (26 hdc) Go to visor section. 3-6mos. Round 7 thru 12 - hdc in each st around. Toddler

Round 9 thru 15 - hdc in each st around. (64 hdc) Round 16 - hdc in each st around, sc, sl st in next 2 sts. Round 17 thru 19 turn, ch 2, hdc in same sp as the ch2 and in next 41 sts. (42 hdc) Round 20 - turn, ch 2, hdc in same sp as the ch2 and in next 41 sts, fasten off and weave in ends. (42 hdc) Go to visor section.

Child

Round 10 thru 18 - hdc in each st around. (72 hdc) Round 19 - hdc in each st around, sc, sl st in next 2 sts. Round 20 thru 22 turn, ch 2, hdc in same sp as the ch2 and in next 47 sts. (48 hdc) Round 23 - turn, ch 2, hdc in same sp as the ch2 and in next 47 sts, fasten off and weave in ends. (48 hdc) Go to visor/mask section.

Adult Round 11 thru 18 - hdc in each st around. (80 hdc) Round 19 - hdc in each st around, sc, sl st in next 2 sts. Round 20 thru 23 turn, ch 2, hdc in same sp as the ch2 and in next 52 sts. With the right side facing, attach yarn at the button loop, where the hdc begins in round 2, sc across top, (sc, ch2, sc) at the center where the 2 pieces are joined. Sl st in ea. hdc around button hole, sc across bottom, (sc, ch2, sc) at the center where the 2 pieces are joined. Sl st in ea. hdc around button hole, join with sl st to 1st sc, fasten off, weave in ends.

Vent Small, (medium, large) For sizes newborn thru 6-12 mos., using G hook, make 2 small vents, and 2 medium vents, sew to visor. For toddler and child, using G hook, make 2 of each size. Sew to visor. For adult and large adult, using I hook, make 2 of each size. Sew to visor. With black yarn, ch 7, (11, 15) sc in 2nd ch from hook and ea. st across, fasten off, leaving a tail to sew to visor.

For sizes newborn thru toddler: for attaching the visor to helmet, fold the helmet in half from front to back. Place the visor over the hat with the middle of both lining up with each other. (Photo E) stitch the visor to helmet, it will not be able to move, due to possible strangling, choking of child. The bottom edge of the ring should line up with the bottom edge of the main part of the hat before the neck band section. Weave in ends.

For sizes child, adult and large adult: Lay the visor onto the helmet as shown in photo F. If you want it to fit like a face warmer it has to be as far back on the helmet as you can place it. The bottom edge of the button ring should line up with the bottom edge of the main part of the hat before the neck band section. Sew on buttons, weave in ends.

Blade 0-3mos., 3-6mos., 6-12mos., toddler Use G hook Row 1 ch 16(18, 19, 22), sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in ea. of the next 13(15, 16, 19) chs, 3sc in last ch, turning to work on the opposite side of the ch. Row 2 sc in the next 12(14, 15, 18) chs, 3sc in last ch. Row 3 thru 4 sc in bl only around. (32sc, 36sc, 40sc, 44sc )

Row 5 - fold in half, creating a double thickness. Sc in bl only thru both thicknesses, this creates the top of the blade. Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew to helmet. With a yarn needle, weave the yarn from the top of the blade to the bottom and sew to the helmet as shown in photos A & B. Blade child, adult, large adult Use I hook Row 1 ch 22(25, 29), sc in 2nd ch from hook, and in ea. of the next 18(22, 26) chs, 3sc in last ch, turning to work on the opposite side of the ch. Row 2 sc in the next 19(23, 27) chs, 3sc in last ch. Row 3 thru 5 sc in bl only around. (44sc, 52sc, 60sc) Row 6 - fold in half, creating a double thickness. Sc in bl only thru both thicknesses, this creates the top of the blade. Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew to helmet. With a yarn needle, weave the yarn from the top of the blade to the bottom and sew to the helmet as shown in photos A & B.
