Book Study Task 2 Product List

1. Peetas Pearl I included this item because it was an important item used in the book to given to Katniss by Peeta when Peeta found it in an oyster in the 75th hunger games and gave it to Katniss as a token that he will protect her. Katniss uses this pearl to comfort her and remind her of Peeta. 2. Katniss Mockingjay pin I included this item because it was one of the most significant items give to Katniss by Madge who is Mayor Undersees daughter (Mayor of District 12). Katniss wore this item to the hunger games as a symbol of District 12. 3. Peetas Bread I included Peetas bread because he used to bake bread each day and used to sometimes give bread to Katniss due to the shortage of food that Katniss and her family had. He also did it because he liked Katniss. 4. Katniss favourite meal from Capitol (Lamb stew) I included the Lamb stew because Lamb stew was Katniss favourite thing about the Capitol. She loved to eat Lamb stew with dried plums. 5. Weapons (Bow and arrow + Knife) I included weapons because it is another one of the most important items about the hunger games. Katniss would use a bow and arrow to shoot down animals for food for herself, her family and her best friend Gale and now she uses it to hunt down tributes at the hunger games. The bow and arrow is a significant item. Also included is a knife that both Katniss and Peeta would carry as a weapon.

6. Fathers plant book I included Katniss fathers plant book because Katniss learnt and used knowledge from her fathers book to help her in the hunger games and also throughout her life. 7. White rose I included the white rose because it was a gift from President Snow to Katniss indicating that he can find her and watch over her. The white rose is something that reminds Katniss of Snow but not in a good way. 8. Plutarchs watch I included Plutarchs watch because I believe it is an important item to include because Plutarch showed the importance and a hint of the 75th hunger games to Katniss when they were at the Capitol after the victory tour.

9. Reaping ball I included the reaping ball because it was a significant item used to pick out the tributes of the hunger games. Every name form each district from ages 12 to 18 are put into a ball and one girl and one boy gets picked out to contribute in the hunger games. This item is an important item to include. 10. Coal (District 12) I included coal because in district 12 there is a coalmine. Katniss father worked there until one day it was blown up when Katniss was younger. Katniss friend Gale now works in the coalmine as a job. This is notable item to incorporate.
