AT&T reports on wireless investment AT&T reports the company spent $635 million in wireless and network upgrades

in Illinois through the first half of 2013. The spending is part of a three-year project announced in the fall of 2012. Internet and cloud-based upgrades were provided to nearly 6,100 business customers so far this year, according to the company announcement. Work also included extension of broadband connections, including AT&T U-verse, to 32,250 customer locations statewide. U-verse includes video, broadband and voice services.
