I also agree that my constituents will hold me accountable to this pledge and will likely seek a recall effort against me should I violate this pledge to them. 1. I pledge to oppose any spending increases proposed, unless the Bill includes language that requires larger cuts in other areas, that will result in lower spending overall. 2. I pledge to oppose any legislation that increases taxes in any way. 3. I pledge to offer and/or support amendments to proposed legislation, to ensure no members of Congress are exempted from the law. 4. I pledge to apply and adhere to the Constitution of The United States of America, and/or The Constitution of my home State, in any and all of my legislative duties. 5. I pledge to post any proposed legislation to my web site and/or FaceBook page for a period of at least 3 days, prior to my voting on said legislation. 6. I pledge to post an explanation of all of my votes, to my website and/or FaceBook page. 7. I pledge to oppose any pay increases for myself. 8. I pledge that myself and my staff will not be exempt from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and we will not accept subsidies for participation in it. 9. I pledge to drop my healthcare and pension upon leaving the office I was elected to. I don't believe anyone is entitled to lifetime benefits and pensions for serving less than 20 years in a job.
