Instructions

Our Goal: At a Minimum 2,310 Signatures (46,200 City voters in 5/13 X .05)
1. Anyone who signs must be currently a registered voter in the CITY of EL PASO. 2. If they werent registered for the May General election, but are now registered, they may sign the petition. 3. Someone living in the County of El Paso but not the City, does not qualify. The signature wont count. 4. Its okay if they didnt vote in the last election or any particular election. They just have to be registered currently as voters in the CITY of EL PASO. 5. All information must be current and correct. Correct date of birth is critical. Some people dont like revealing their age. However, tell them that the signature wont count if the date doesnt match the voting record. 6. VUID (Voter Unique Identifier): Most people wont have their Voter Registration card. If they do, get them to fill out the number (check it twice/check it three times). 7. You must get your forms (page by page) notarized. The second line on the bottom of the page is for you to sign in front of the notary. Do NOT bring this page back to me UNNOTARIZED. 8. Get email addresses please! These will be for El Paso CAN (Conservation Action Network). Ask people if they want to be kept informed about important issues dealing with the environment and our quality of life with suggestions about how they can be involved (send an email, write a letter, join a public demonstration whatever level they choose). 9. My contact info: Jim Tolbert 915-525-7364 diegotolbert@gmail.com 10. Call me if you have any question or for whatever reason. (I dont know the meaning of life or the best wine to serve with Jambalaya. However, I do have or will get information about our petition drive.)
