    Technical Notice SLS.25 Notice to Shipowners, Ship Operators, Managers, Masters, Owners Representatives and Recognised Organisations

    Reference is made to SOLAS Regulation V/19.2.9.2, Resolution A.824 (19) as amended by Resolution MSC.96 (72) amended by Resolution MSC.334 (90), and MSC.1/Circ.1429 The Directorate wishes to remind all concerned that the requirement for the measure of speed through the water and speed over the ground in respect of ships of 50,000 gross tonnage and above constructed on or after 1 July 2014, shall be satisfied by the provision of two separate devices.
