Park Blvd San Diego, CA 92101 Firm Foundations is submitting a bid on November 27, 2011 by 2:00pm for work packages 2 and 5 of the expansion on Harrahs Rincon Casino and Resort Located at 777 Harrahs Way, Valley Center, CA 92082. These bid packages include excavation, forming, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, and back fill for: the building of a tunnel connecting the old and new casinos, column footings for low-rise sections of the casino, and the slab for the same area. Our bid for the scope of work and schedule provided in the Invitation to Bid is Four Hundred Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy One Dollars and Forty Nine cents ($409,771.49). Any changes made to the scope of work or schedule in packages 2 and 5 after the submission of our bid makes the amount bid no longer binding. New prices will be set by the means established in the contract. The included bid form shows the breakdown of the total bid price. The bid costs are organized by the work required for each package. Within each package, the specific tasks and materials required to complete the contracted work are listed. The specific quantities and units for each process are taken from the specifications in the supplied drawings. Unit prices are used to find total costs for each process. The process totals are summed up to the value of the total bid price. A rent, lease, or buy analysis for the excavator needed for the project has also been prepared. Using information from equipment providers, it was determined that buying the excavator would be the best option for this project. The overall cost associated with buying the equipment would be $12.13 per hour. A detailed cost estimate has been prepared for the completion of the concrete walls in the casino expansion. This included the work for the construction of the two walls in the tunnel beneath the casino. The detailed cost for the wall construction was relatively close to the cost estimated in the recap sheet. As Per General contractors request a Bid Bond of one percent (1%) of the total bid price is provided with the submittal of the bid.
