To ensure the repairs and maintenance of the Authoritys assets To recommend technical improvements of electrical/electromechanical nature with a view of enhancing the Authoritys services To ensure the implementation of all matters relating to Health & Safety Legislative requirements. To ensure that planning, scheduling, and unscheduled repairs are carried out efficiently and cost effectively, with quality service To oversee the administrative requirements pertaining to all technical matters, including procurement of new equipment, warranty obligations, inspection records, manual updates, equipment defect reports, maintenance services, policies, procedures, and practices To review and recommend updates to maintenance services policies and procedures to ensure quality, reliability, and efficiencies To provide as and when required support to the Manager (Technical Services) in the general management of the Technical Services Department. To provide as and when required technical assistance to the Marine Department in respect of repairs and maintenance of tugs To evaluate operational systems and make recommendations for repairs or other modifications To perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications To conduct such other related duties as assigned To coach, guide and train all junior staff To play an active role in promoting safety and security at the MPA To adhere to and promote MPAs corporate values To contribute to the enhancement of the port environment
