The art of writing is what allows us human beings to communicate and preserve our thoughts and ideas.

While bad writing may be painful to read, it usually also fails to communicate any clear thought to the reader. Good writing, on the other hand, effectively gets a point or idea across to the reader clearly and effectively. I believe I should have to take Writing and Rhetoric because I know that myself, along with every other student, will greatly benefit from enhanced writing and argumentative skills. I need to learn how to effectively get a point across through writing and conversation, and I know this class will give me the tools to do so.
