PROJECT: TASK 1: Types of stories (15%) i.

In pairs, collect samples of three different story types suitable for use in Years 4, 5 or 6. Highlight the features of these story types based on your readings through graphic organizers and short notes. Devising activities (25%) ii.Working in pairs, devise a series of activities to elicit reader response from your pupils. The activities should be based on one story type and be used over a two week period (2 hours)

TASK 2 : (i)Storytelling (30%) You are to select any story you think is suitable for a 7 to 10 minutes storytelling session with Year 1, 2 or 3 pupils. You may use any props or aids in your session. Make use of relevant techniques and strategies you learnt in this course. (iii)Reflection (30%) Write your reflections on your storytelling session. You should refer to the comments given by your peers and instructor. You should also refer to your readings on storytelling in the primary classroom. (1000 words) A GOOD ASSIGNMENT SHOULD SHOW 1.
