Summer Assignment-Regions Rubric


Description:
You are to select a REGION from the United States that is impacted by the natural disaster that you studied this summer. You will relate the geography to how we define regions, how it creates optimum conditions for certain types of natural disasters, and poor conditions for others. You will also look at how the geography/natural disasters impact the resources and economy of your region.

Vocabulary: Vocabulary specific to your region and natural disaster should be used and spelled correctly. You have identified vocabulary specific to natural disasters and regions. Regions: Region selected based on Natural Disaster. Identify different ways to define regions. Physical Features: How do these features enable/minimize the impact of natural disasters including the one that you studied? Human Features: How do these human features enable/minimize the impact of natural disasters including the one you studied?
