Have a clear ? overview of Step 5 Truth See why we ? coach Step 5 Learn when to ? use Step 5

This nugget belongs to the full 7 step dream builder PQF. It can be worked on by itself or as a part of the full process. After establishing IDENTITY, you can move to building a VISION, then Step 3 VOICE, then you could add Step 4 RELATE and now Step 5 TRUTH or you can use this process as a stand-alone for anchoring and strengthening your dream building when required. Dream Builder Step 5 What is Step 5 - TRUTH? This process looks at ways to strengthen your dream. Concepts such as integrity, truth, value alignment, professionalism and credibility are factors to consider here. It is the answer to the question "how could I strengthen this dream?" If you have started implementing any of the first three steps, and have done so effectively, then it is more than likely that things are happening already. This step then becomes even more important when success starts to happen, because sometimes success can steer us off our path. Other words and concepts connected to TRUTH:
? Professionalism ? Credibility ? Integrity ? Values ? Authenticity ? Boundaries

Why Step 5? Dreams that do not have the integrity of solid values at their core risk being weak and not lasting the storms of life. When do you use this step? After you are clear on what it is (identity) and what it could do (vision), with communication that works (voice) and relationships (relate) being built, it's important to look at truth. If your first 3 steps are strong, especially the identity of your dream, this step will be a natural follow through. If you struggle here, look at Step 1 Identity again, because values and truth naturally arise from identity. An apple tree will struggle to bear fruit if it is not being true to who it is, if it betrays its identity it loses strength and authenticity in the world. This step is value alignment at the deepest level.

Remember that your objective is to move through a thinking out breath and then a thinking in breath. Hereby expanding your many ideas and then condensing these into clear action plans and strategies. You can use this step for a number of reasons, and you should consider as many of these as needed (with coaching questions). VALUE ALIGNMENT Betraying a core value weakens us. Why? Because it's against our true nature. The values of an apple tree are an extension of who it is, and what it does. In alignment with its values and identity. So when identity, values and action are in harmony things work. Exploring values and ensuring they align is key. Coaching questions: What are my core values? How does this dream honour my values? How does what I'm offering express my values? How can I ensure that the dream building process is aligned with my values? BUILDING CREDIBILITY Why is an apple tree credible as an apple maker? Because its actions are an expression of its true nature. This is the highest level of credibility. When dream building; give thought to how to communicate the credibility of your offering and those that offer it. Coaching questions: What makes me credible for this dream building? What experience do I have that establishes my/our credibility with this dream? What passion deepens my credibility with this dream? How can we/I increase my/our credibility? BOUNDARIES Sometimes it is more important to know when to say no, as when to say yes. Professional boundaries are important. They strengthen a dream. If an apple tree was asked to make oranges it would say no. Stick to your strengths, stick to your true nature and refer people elsewhere if required. Coaching questions: What do I need to say yes to? What do I need to say no to? How can I/we establish professionalism? What professional boundaries do I need?

AUTHENTICITY People can smell a lack of authenticity. Years of infomercials and plastic selling, con artists and get rich quick schemes have people suspicious and rightly so. So today, natural" and "authentic" have great pull. This is great news for the small size dreamer, because human and small can now compete because it's easier to be authentic from a place of being "real". Coaching questions: How can I/we communicate our/ my/ the product's authenticity effectively? How do people know that this is the real deal? What could you do to communicate to people that this offer/dream/product/service is authentic? HONOUR In a world where many will do anything to make money, honour is valued. Consider how you can build honour into your dream building. Coaching questions: What does your dream honour? What do you stand for and how is this communicated in your dream building? How can you let people see the honour of your offering? End off by coaching out a clear definition of your values and how this dream aligns with the values. Also create a plan to action ideas you found in your exploration of this step.
