out equally on this circle. Since a circle covers 360 degrees, these 27 nakshatrams cover 360 degrees in space. So the "space" occupied by one nakshatram is 360 divided by 27 which is equal to 13 degrees and 20 minutes. See diagram below.

Paadham or Nakshatra Pada. When you hear people make statements such as "My nakshatra is Punarvasu 2nd padham" or "My birth star is Vishaka 4th quarter" and so on, they are referring to this finer division of each nakshatra into quarters. do we mean by lifetime worship? Say your nakshatra is Rohini. You should worship at the temple mentioned for Rohini in the list below given by Sathguru Venkataraman as much as possible throughout your life. In other words, this particular temple has a special significance for you throughout your life. This is what we mean by lifetime worship. But keep in mind that we should also worship at the temples for the 26 other nakshatrams too and not just at the one mentioned for our nakshatra.
