ucapkan kepada Pn. Kamariah, Pengetua SMK Seri BintangUtara,
Pn. Rohana, Penolong Kanan Tadbir, Pn. Rozita, Penolong Kanan Hal
Ehwal Murid, konselor, guru-guru ketua bidang, guru-guru dan
pelajar-pelajar yang saya hormati sekalian. Izinkan saya
meneruskan ucapan saya dalam bahasa Inggeris.
First of all, I would like to apologise on behalf of Nurul Nabila,
our school head prefect for her absence as she is involved in an
interschool basketball competition and is therefore, unable to join us
today.
As we are all aware, of, we are all here to bid farewell to our
dear teacher, Pn. Lim Soo Gaik. Pn.Lim has opted for an early
retirement from her career as a school teacher. It is without the
slightest of doubt when I say that Pn. Lim’s absence will be a great
loss to the school as well as to the students as she has guided the IT
department to sky high performance during her time of service.
Thank you, Pn.Lim, for finding time to be with us here this
afternoon.

Let us get down to memory lane. Most of us have much to

remember about her as we had countless good memories with her,
especially the students of Form 4 and Form 5. We all had a fantastic
time learning under her great stewardship. Time often seems to
pass in just a blink of an eye and I remember like it was only
yesterday that my friends and I joined the computer club when we
were in Form 1. We were very naive about flash programmes back
then but she taught us about them step-by-step, with complete
patience. Ever since then, we had and have several students who
are highly-skilled in that area of technology. People say memories
are the best parts of our lives and this memory of Pn Lim will be
ours forever.

Over the years, we have personally been awed with the

wonderful teacher-student relationships she has managed to uphold.
She has been an inspiration to us not only in the classroom but as a
whole for what students should act and be like in school. She also
displayed prowess in her teaching when her students managed to
achieve outstanding results in the 2007 SPM ICT examination,
causing our school to emerge as one of the top achievers in
Malaysia. She has also exhibited excellent leadership and she has
never failed to perform her duties to the best of her ability. It is how
she is so all-rounded that makes her extra special to us.
Pn. Lim, we wish you all the best in your endeavours because
you deserve so much for everything you have done for the citizens
of SMK Seri Bintang Utara.. Keep us in your thoughts, for I personally
know that you will always be in ours whenever we set foot in our IT
room. May God bless you and remember to take care of yourself
always.
