Reading Studentswillbeinvolvedinaprogramcalled TheDaily5.Thisprogramisstructuredsoevery studentisindependentlyengagedinmeaningful literacytasks,allowingmetoprovidefocused,intense instructiontobothindividualsandsmallgroupsof students. Writing Studentswillbeusingthewritingprocessto producepiecesinbothrecountandpersuasiveforms. Wewillusetheimportantwritingtraits:voice,details, ideas,order,sentencefluency,andpunctuationto improveourwriting. Math Studentswillbestudyingbothnumericand geometricpatterns,displayingdatausinggraphs, measuringarea,perimeterandlength,andaddingand subtractingofsingleandmultidigitnumbers. SocialStudies Studentswillbelearningaboutearly settlementsinCanadaforthisterm.
