1. Monitor role -managers are centrally located in the flow of information (records manager) 2. Disseminator role -managers transmit and disseminate information 3. Spokesperson role -managers represent and speak for their units vis--vis other units of organization and outsiders

1.Entrepreneurial role identify new opportunities, development of new products, services, methods or activities 2. Problem solver identify solutions and take action to overcome continuous problems 3.Resource allocator distribution of funds, personnel, materials and other resources
