The Arts: Vital Education All my life I have loved the arts, although there are many to choose. With the arts as a vital part of education to better ensure a more engaging learning atmosphere. By participating in these activities it has given me the ability to learn. With funding from the government, the school board has chosen to limit the program, because of different opinions; expressing education should have more money than the arts. Seeing all of the classes for the arts shut down, because of funding can cause a lot of sadness, like a tragic story. Understanding the concept about the arts, and why it would be counted as a vital part of education. I have been involved in singing all my life, and it is something I have always enjoyed. I was in chorus, and have done many singing events, but I always had fun while singing. The school board started cutting funds, so we had to sing the same songs every year. Also, we had a fundraiser for our uniforms, because the cost was so high. Being a part of chorus, has helped me get better grades, and make friends with similar interest. Along with this, I have noticed that the school board has started to fund educational projects two times more than different collaboration skills. Which also caught my curiosity, of how student could remember, and process the context without some way to understand, without the help of the arts?

My source is from John Hopkins University, and my source is by Dee Dickinson and is called Learning through the Arts. Many researchers have come to a conclusion that listening to music helps focus, and comprehend the topic or lesson your learning. In my research, I have gathered information from the Annual Convention with the American Psychological Association, which stated that simply listening to music can enhance a spatial skill. This creates the ability to retain crucial, but yet complex higher brain functions. Silicon Valley is home to many of the best engineers, and technical designers with the help of music. Theories suggest universities have graduated brilliant and intelligent minds by using music such as complex yet rhythmical, and tonal patterns, which could also be called ragas. The university of California /San Diego developed a method to process music which contains the use of normal brain functions. For children, music creates and widens interest while simulate the spatial skill everyone has. My topic for funding the arts is quite interesting, like a good book. The reason for deciding to research funding for the fine arts is discovering why, and what caused less funding for the arts. Education would also be consider one of the more focus subjects, but with learning to do so with music would better expand your field of interest. Without these skills, students would not learn a quick yet skillful way, like the tempo in a song. So by having, the different forms of the arts in the educational programs many would benefit from this amazing opportunity. Arts are a vital part of education and should receive more funding.
