    This document contains the results of a large shearbox test conducted according to BS 1377: Part 7: 1990 on a soil sample. The test subjected the sample to incremental normal stresses of 47 kPa, 101 kPa and 213 kPa and recorded the vertical displacement and shear stress at each stage. Graphs on sheets 2, 4 and 5 plot the shear stress versus vertical displacement for each normal stress condition. The test results will be used to determine shear strength parameters for the soil including cohesion, angle of shearing resistance and residual parameters.
