Dear Chairman Obey and Ranking Member Lewis:

I am requesting funding for the following project in fiscal year 2010:

Project: National Aquarium in Washington DC Renovation

Entity to receive funding: School Biz Match, Inc.

Address: 5185 MacArthur Blvd., N.W.

Washington, D.C. 20016

Purpose: Funding is requested for School Biz Match, Inc. to run a pilot project to create
business and community-based partnerships within the District of Columbia including
schools in all sectors. This funding would support a demonstration project where
business and community organization would get the tools they need to identify and
partner with K-12 schools in areas ranging from reading, math, and science literacy to
career development for students and professional development for teachers.
I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this project.

Sincerely,

Eleanor Holmes Norton
