Georgia O Keeffe Emphasis Project

Project Guidelines
1. You will find an interesting picture of a flower that you would like to use for your project 2. You will zoom in on a cross section of your flower 3. You will recreate your cross section by drawing it onto a 9x12 sheet of white paper in an appropriate area, which demonstrates your understanding of the principle of Emphasis. 4. You will draw a 2x4 rectangle over the top of your cross section recreation toward the middle of your page. 5. Outside of the 2x4 rectangle, you will paint your flower using realistic colors, complete with tints, tones, and shades of each color 6. Inside of the 2x4 rectangle, you will paint the complimentary colors, complete with tints, tones, and shades of each color 7. When finished with the painting of your project, you will take a digital image of your artwork. 8. You will post your digital image into the BLOG section of this website 9. Below your digital image, you will type your ARTIST STATEMENT explaining how your project demonstrates EMPHASIS 10. You will email your word document to Mr Gobel (gobel@owosso.k12.mi.us) with the title YOURNAME . EMPHASIS
