Police and Rangers check posts have been set up in the affected areas of the city. The strength of Karachi police is being enhance to effectively deal with the law and order situation. CPLC(citizen police liaison committee) chief, said that the home department would setting up command and control system with 900 close circuit TV (CCTV) cameras to monitor the city in order to curb criminal activities. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif last week finalized modalities for launching an operation in Pakistan's largest city of Karachi to end target killings, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and widespread crime. An operation by police and paramilitary Pakistan Rangers is likely launched in Karachi from few days.
