3 Critical Thinking Exercise The number of female and minority judges has increased over the past 30 years. What do you believe has been the catalyst for that change? I believe the catalyst for the change was the Womens Rights Movement. Although women had received representation by 1950, it wasnt until the 1960s that women were less discriminated against for holding positions in the workforce. Im sure that World War II had a great deal to do with this. Women that worked while their husbands were in combat probably enjoyed the idea, as well as the actual physical part, of working. As for minority judges, theyre not being discriminated against like they were in the 50s and later part of the 60s.
